She deleted the saved emails before forwarding them to me. Can you please check the web page and see if I had a chance to add your information and if not, please resubmit them to me. I do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused any of you. 3. The posting was from a person named "Angie" who "bombs", not just spams, but "bombs" message boards. The Jackson County Board had over 300 posts from her just last night. Rootsweb is globally deleting her messages, but she keeps sending from different addresses. Best advise . . . ignore her messages. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/He.2ADI/157.3.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thankyou for the offer. I honestly didn't expect anything on Mary's side of the family at all. During all my research I have found it most frustrating to backtrack female ancestors. I currently have very little other than the remembrances of my Grandmother. She remembers Mary as the sweetest mother in law who ever lived. And had mentioned how difficult it was for her after her husband Charles Copeland had died. All of our info is coming from my Grandmother who has recently suffered several health setbacks that have affected her memory. I literally know nothing beyond Mary's name and that of Charles Copeland and his father whose name was Ruben Copeland, and that they are buried in Lindsey Cemetery in Alexander county. I have Mary's date of birth as 6-30-1891 and her death as 8-9-1969. I wish I had more to share with you as I enjoy discoveries like this! Whatever you can spare is truly appreciated. Thank you, Lisa Harris

    1. I.B. HUDSON family Cairo, Ills
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HUDSON - STRODE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/He.2ADI/205 Message Board Post: 1880 transcribed census, LDS cd copies, provide an interesting piece of information. First, we know Isaac B. Hudson, b. 1822 in GA. per census records, married in 1850 Mrs. Elizabeth Beasley Hudson, widow of a cousin, John Hudson, son of Frederick Hudson. Frederick's brother, Robert Hudson was in Jackson county, GA. in 1817, where his wife signed her dowry rights away on land belonging to the estate of their father, John Hudson of Lunenberg Co. VA. Robert and his wife Candance were the parents of Isaac B. Hudson and also of a son named John Hudson. (Proof on the other sons has not come our way as of this writing.) During the 1860-1870 period, this John Hudson's son, a John B. Hudson, lived in Noxubee county, Ms., later, he was move on to Texas. A son, William J. Hudson, also lived in Noxubee county. Both these men served in the Civil War, as did their uncle, Isaac B. Hudson, serving with distinction. Records show Capt. I.B. Hudson, and his obit states Col. I.B. Hudson. Family history states that Isaac B. Hudson and Elizabeth Hudson seperated. She died in Noxubee county, 1870. He married in 1871, in Cairo, Alexander county, Ills, a Carrie S. Sage. (Just for the record, in the 1870 census of Noxubee county, Ms. there was two 'John B. Hudson' residences. One lived with Elizabeth, and was NOT her son. I have often wondered if he could have been Isaac B. Hudson's son, but that is only a theory.) Family history also states that he owned plantations in Arkansas. Apparently he traveled between the two locations periodically. Now, the confusion. In Cairo, Alexander county Ills for the 1880 census one will find: I.L. (not B) Hudson, age 58, b. GA Cora (not Carrie) S. Hudson, age 39 Hope, age 8 Ruth, age 6 S. Isaac, age 3 Robert W., age 2 The head of house is shown as a cotton planter. The obit of Isaac B. Hudson states he had married Carrie S. Sage and was survived by two daughters and one son, burial to be next to deceased young son. Over in Oden, Chicot county, Arkansas in the same census we will find a listing for I.B. Hudson, age 58, b. GA, Agent on Farm. another was listed in same 'house', John Bary, from Ireland, 'working on farm.' Family history states this Isaac B. Hudson is the grandfather of Hudson Strode, a popular professor at the University of Alabama. Should anyone know more about this family of Isaac B. Hudson, or, of Hudson Strode, please share it with the list as well as with the author of this mailing. earphoto@gonetgo.com HUDSON, BEASLEY, HAYNES, ENGLISH, GREER, DURST, STEPHENS, RUSSELL, others.
