    3. Rosemary, Using the inscriptions from cemeteries in Pulaski County, IL that are listed in "Where They Sleep," (series published by The Genealogical Society of Southern Illinois), I found the following Musick burials listed on p. 6 of Book IV: Beech Grove Cemetery: Florence MUSICK d/C. Y &.M. L. MUSICK 28 Jul 1890 13 Feb 1892 Beechwood Cemetery: Mary L. MUSICK 139-8 20 Dec 1865 25 Feb 1951 I found no MUSICKs listed in Book III, however. (NOTE: Some of my ARTER and HARRELL ancestors are listed in Book III. I am still trying to locate the burial sites for more MAGEES than the two listed in Book IV and for any EICHENBERGERs, all collateral relatives.) Perhaps, someone who has access to Vols. 1, 2 & 5 of "Where They Sleep" might be able to locate your MUSICKS buried in other cemeteries. 3. Hello Sharon, Have you come across anything on a Lizzie Goodman who married George N. Lauderdale on April 7, 1892 in Alexander County? One of my father's cousin's married an Elizabeth Goodman, Lizzie later married Henry Skiles, one of my father's cousins. I am also related to the Lauderdale family through my father's maternal line. I would very much like to find out where George fits in the Lauderdale line. Cindy L. 2. HI I am looking for the grave site of my grandfather Harvey Coleman DANBY. He died June 1 1927 in Mound City, Pulaski County, IL. As Mound City is so close to Alexander County it was suggested that he might have been buried in a cemetery there. He lift a widow Catherine that passed away in 1934 who may also be buried with him. Is there a place online that has the cemetiers transcribed? Pat

Holmes, applied for pension (#220 287- (was appointed her guardian 20 may 1872, in order to obtain pensions for minor children?) Annie A. Lee, in 1876 signed her release of all receipts to Holmes. (indeciperable) Anna A gives her address as PO Santafee ILL Alexr. Co. lived near Santafee Census gives Wm. Holmes as father? of Estes Adam Holmes- WIfe of Wm as Sarah Estes born 1876 - He was a playmate of my father -(son of Sarah) born 1877 (possibly cousins?) Wm. Holmes also guardian of Narcissa J. Holmes, heir of Emmanual J Holmes - Co G 11th IL infantry (a grandaughter or niece?) This information taken from census records in archives Wash DC & family. In checking thru my files, I find info that leads me to believe there were fam. connections between Lee-Fox & Holmes families prev to 1850 END QUOTE This info came from Valeria Williamosn Griffen. My copies are in poor shape but I beleive her niece has all of Valeria's research now, or was supposed to be obtaining it. On another page Valeria says: QUOTE: Wm. Holmes was possibly her (Anna & Sophrenia's) grandfather or uncle? as I think that my father (Sarah's son) once told me that he and Estes Holmes were cousins (he thought) & Estes is listed as son of Wm 1880 census of Alexr. Co. ILL also with (illegible) as Sarah Estes 4 years, which would make him b 1876 & my fahter born 1877 END QUOTE The Sarah's son she refers to would be Elijah Harris Williamson, and Sarah being Sarah Fox-Lee-Williamson. Annie and Sophrenia were 2 of Sarahs daughters from her marriage to Chesterfield G Lee, Elijah was the youngest child from her marriage to John McCurdy Williamson. I have copies of copies of the pension application mentioned above, and of Anna's signing over of her pension funds to Wm Holmes, mostly illegible but the originals, or better copies must exist someplace. Must go get ready for work now, I hope this helps some, it got me through my morning coffee :) If I find any further mention of Holmes' later I will pass it along. Jim

My GGGrandmother Sarah Fox was married to Chesterfield G Lee until he died in 1863, the following year she married John M Williamson at Beaver Ridge. Sarah and Chesterfield had 4 children it seems; Sarah, Malinda, Sophrinia and Annie Adeline. I need to dig out some old papers, but I do recall that Annie was warded to a Holmes, Annies share of Chesterfields death pension was signed over to that Holmes as well. Your mention of both an Anne and an Adeline Holmes, born not long after the birth of Annie Adeline Lee, who apparently had some link to the Holmes family makes me want to dig deeper into that line, even though it is not my own directly. I will look for the paperwork I have and post again soon. ~jim

    3. Denise sent me copies of these photos. I have them posted for viewing at www.williamson-clan.com look at the bottom of the main page for links to the picture pages, one says Twente School, it is the ones I posted a couple of weeks ago, below is a link that says Olive Branch School, that is the newer ones. I posted them as Olive Branch because the Twente School was stone, the school in these pictures is red brick, it might be Thebes as well, but Since Helen Hall lived in Olive Branch I am more inclined to think that may be it. If you kind folks could look these over and see if anything rings a bell I would appreciate it, I got such good response with my Twente School photos I am hoping Denise can get the same kind of help :) You're all great!
