Your info will be great to add to my folder on him. August Basse, the son, wasn't a very good man. He married my g-aunt in 1890, then by 1910 was married to another woman (I think). I found all kinds of news clippings about him with all kinds of legal problems. He moved to Colorado and opened a jewelry store, but that didn't last long and he was chased back to Qcy by the Denver police. My aunt remarried after they divorced? Evidently his brother really took over the jewelry bs in Qcy after their dad died.
