I'm searching for the family origins of an Isaac (John?) Adams, born abt 1825 in KY, resident of Camp Point at the 1855 and 1860 censuses, and who died sometime between 1860 and 1867. Children were George B. William J. 1850, Mary Elizabeth 1851, John 1854, Gilbert W. 1858, Isaac Monroe 1861.(According to Adams Co. Clerk, Isaac Monroe was a son of John Adams & Frances Paris Adams.) His wife, Mary Frances LNU remarried in 1867, as second wife, James McCormick. Do local newspaper reports for that period exist? Perhaps Isaac's death might have been reported.
