    3. wow, you guys bring back some old memories.:) When I lived back home, I lived in several areas in Adams county. Carthage, West Point, Bowen, Camp Point, Coatsburg. When they built the pool in West Point Bowen area, we ran the little Ice Cream stand for the first year or two while it was there. But heading west from Clayton, I 24, you will go pass the Camp Point HS. To downtown Camp Point. Royalties there is family, and the Mixers in Camp Point is family also. Fritz Brierton had a barber shop right off of 24, right next the Milk stand, (which recently became a shop for Making Linings for trucks and the like, if that shop is still there, that is my cousin) Fritz is my Grandfather. in his 80's now and still lives in the house that was the barber shop for the longest time. Close to the Police station.:) going on west. You run into coatsburg, 5 miles from camp point. if you take Columbus road South, My aunt an Uncle live the first road from 24. on that north corner. If you follow it on down south about 3 miles, it would have been the first farm my fathers parents owned. We lived there for a bit. You follow it on through columbus to threepoints you find the entrance to siloam springs (many a family event there) take a left you go to liberty. take a right you go past the air port into Quincy. the next road up over the railroad tracks takes you north into coatsburg, you follow that road up you run past my Grandparents other farm. Continuing on west. next town up is paloma, great resteraunt that got me hooked on Mountain dews at a young age, and of course the great Tenderloins:) and FS. going on west you run into Fowler. believe that is only 2 miles from paloma. Second main road going south in fowler will take you by my great grand uncles farm. taking those back roads you can make it over to payson where my dads cousin is farming.:) heading on to quincy. about a mile outside of fowler you will get to a farm that has a Electrical substation at the corner of the road(this was commonly known as the adams county fair road) (hoping I am remember that road in the proper place) Remember the sub station and the farmer that owned that farm near there lost his wife to a tractor accident 10 or 12 years ago. going on up the road from there you pass by where the Moormans research facility use to be on the north side of the road, (lived there for a bit when I was really young) just beyond that is the new highway they put in so you don't have to go all the way into quincy the back way to make it to down town like in the old days;) That freeway is nice when I drive home I just hit it. take the liberty road out of quincy and go over to three points take columbus road up to 24 and get to either my grandparents house or my aunt and uncles house in coatsburg or head over to camp point ot my other grand parents. I miss home, But I know that I could never go back to a small town and live again. not after all the years in the big cities.
