    3. oh my dear I am not making fun of bigneck. I have family and friends live there in the area. that was an old saying for years about small towns. matter of fact the best tv repair man lived there for many years I'm sure he most likely is gone now. I love my home town area. that is the most preaty area up and around quincy and the hole state of Ill. it has the view of family loving and carring people. it was something that mindy had said. I just added that saying. I love my adams county. Linda Cricket Hackmann wrote: Linda Summers wrote: <peak around the corner and plum out of town. lol >> Now don't make fun of Bigneck!! That's where my dad was raised....and we still have family that live there....on the same farm that our Irish ancestors imigrated to in the late 1860s. :-) But you're right....it is a tiny little place....but judging from the old newspaper clippings that I've read, and the number of men who were from Bigneck on an Adams County military roster that I saw one time, it must have been quite a bit bigger at one time! 3. Oh Linda, I was smiling the whole time I wrote my post, asking you not to "make fun" of Big Neck. That's the problem with e-mail and the written word....you can't hear people's "tone of voice" as they write it! :-) I am not offended in the least....I'm just glad you mentioned the little corner of the world that my family came from! If you have family and friends in that area, do you by any chance know any of the Donleys? My grandfather (Dale Anderson Donley) started the Big Neck 4-H Pig Club back in 1927, and was involved with it for 50 years. Three of his five children still live in Adams County, and now have children and grandchildren of their own.
