This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Thompson, Peters, Murphy, Graham Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wg.2ADE/3914 Message Board Post: We are searching for the siblings and ancestors of Thomas Frank Thompson, born in Quincy or Adams County in or about 1848. He is often found in the records as both Frank and Thomas. We cannot find him in the 1850 Adams County records, but he served in the Civil War in either the 53rd or 55th Illinois Infantry, enlisting at Quincy. Later census records list both his parents as being from Ohio. He married Melissa Jane Murphy Peters in Grant County IN in 1888. We know of no earlier marriage, but an earlier marriage is certainly possible. He is found in the 1900 census at the postmaster in Westport, Chehalis (now Grays Harbor) County in WA. He is in the 1920 census at the Retsil Veterans Home in Kitsap County WA, and in 1925, at the age of 77, is in Cordova Alaska. His wife Melissa died in 1913 and is buried in Tumwater WA. Shown on records in WA are Harry and Vivian Graham, related somehow to either Melissa or Thomas. Harry and Vivian had son Warren W Graham in 1916 w! ho died in 1917. We appreciate anyone who can make a connection for us. Thanks.
