My father is the only living male Altrogge of his generation. Although the article says that Theodore Altogge (my great-great grandfather) died shortly after he arrived from Germany I have found his burial record at St Anthony Church and a record of 2 marriages within 6 months of each other in 1849. The first wife died in an influenza epidemic and he married a widow lady with I believe a little girl named Louisa. I also found his will in the Adams county court house records. I would love to hear from you and discuss this further. I haven't been able to do any research for some time but am finally getting back into it.
