In the letters they discuss family illness and visits between the 2 families. One letter is especially interesting as it talk of John and Philip purchasing land in Harvey Co., KS. If anyone is researching this family I will gladly send copies of these letters. I would also be interested in any information on the Hess family that you care to share.
