The Dickhut are not my family but just happens they are mentioned on a page that i had copie about my Hobrecker family.It's from Bornmann's Sketches of Early Germans of Quincy and Adams Co ILL. I don't have the complete article but this is what I do have Volume 1 April 1901 Chapter 2 page 3 George G Dickhut presently a humanity official ,is the son born 24 May 1835. Christian G Dickhut died 12 August 1878 her in Quincy , while his wife departed this life in California on 17 August 1885. Hope this helps. I know this is kind of obscure...but I have a George Dickuth who purchased 12 cords of wood from my gg grandfather's (Lawrence Huber) estate sale held in June of 1861 in Melrose Township. Could this person be related to you?
