Miss Edith Wolterman yesterday went to Mendon, MO, where she is to be in charge of the millinery department of the Mendon Mercantile Company, a large department store. She will be gone about ten weeks. William Meyer, the prescription clerk at Bernbrock's Drug Store went last week with his wife for a visit of two weeks among friends and relatives in Chicago, Milwaukee and Gary, Ind. Henry Brant winner of the second ___finals in golf at the Country Club, and challenged by Dr. H.L. Whipple for his place, beat the latter Sunday 2 up and 1 to go. Mrs. Elliott Shaw, who has been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William L. Schauf, 906 Broadway, this summer is to leave tomorrow to join her husband in New York City. J. Martin Stolze, who has been the guest of his parents at 630 Vine Street, for the past month, will leave tonight for New York City. He will join the Art Students League. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mays of Wichita, Kas, are the parents of a son. Mrs. Mays before her marriage was Miss Edna Best of this city, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Best. Mae McCubbins, who was married to Jesse McCubbins, August 23, 1903, has filed suit for divorce, charging that he deserted her July 15, 1909. They have one child, Cecil, aged 12. Jesse Moke was up in county court this morning charged with child abandonment. Moke is one of the strike-breakers who came to Quincy at the time of the show case works strike. Mrs. Mary Luther of 305 Washington Street, who has been ailing for some time, is growing weaker and no hope is entertained for her recovery. Her daughter, Mrs. J. Miller of Milwaukee arrived at her bedside Sunday to care for her.
