I have tried to find Leroy Hickerson because he married Rebecca Carr, about the same time as John married Martha, so thought maybe She might be related to John. I think I solved the Emma , she married a Hallam in Missouri. her name was Sarah Emma, and the census used both names sarah on one and emma on the other. Is the Martha that married John Carr a relative to your Hickersons, who was martha's parents? Was John her first husband? and did she die in child birth? was Amanda her only child? any info would be appreiciated. and I will do the same for you.
