These two churches "should" be the same. The Methodist Episcopal Church was one of several 19th c. denominations that merged to becaoe the Methodist Church later on and is now the United Methodist Church. So this record should be the right one. It contains baptisms and marriages for the timeframes that you are researching. The film # is 965271, which can be ordered from your local Family History Center.
