    1. [ILADAMS] Garbrecht\Gabbraith\Garbath
    2. Are any of you researching the GARBRECHT's of Adams Co., IL? My gg grandfather's sister, Catherine E. Whittaken, married a Garbrecht and had 3 children. Catherine and her children, August (b: 1851-1852), Anna (b: abt 1856), and Henry (b: abt 1859), were living with her parents in Burton, Adams Co., IL on 6/7/1860 when the 1860 census was enumerated. She was listed as married but her husband was not living with them at the time. Her surname on the census was spelled either GARBATH or GARBALT. Other various spelling that I've found are Garbatt\Garbrecht\Galbrecht\Garbrech. Catherine married Herman Miller in 1865. I found them on the 1870 census still living in Burton. Her youngest, Henry, child was living with them and has taken the name of Miller. August Garbrecht was living with his uncle William Dickhut & aunt Caroline (Garbrecht) Dickhut in Ellington, Adams Co., IL during the enumeration of the 1870 census. I'm not sure where Anna was living in 1870 but in 1880 she was listed as Anna Garbrech and was living with her aunt, Anna Naylor's family in Columbus Twp., Adams Co., IL. I am looking for the name of the husband and any information you may have about him and the 3 children. Thank you, Carolyn Menges
