Nor in the Illinois Marriage and Death Indexes (1950 and earlier). But these are the John (no middle Initial) DAVIS that I did find. Adams County Marriage records: DAVIS, John + BUTLER, Mildred A.-4/28/1853; DAVIS, John + SHAFFER, Mary L.-3/1/1870. Adams County Death records; (3) DAVIS, John: (d.5/15/1910), (d.3/24/1918) and (d.3/8/1950).
