I'll check into this since I live here (Springfield), and I have friends that work there and I can track bills...but you do understand, that almost all states request fees of about 10.00... IL has been really good with the first 2 copies free, and never charging for copies of soundex and such ... St Louis Public Library charges for use of the equipment ... then fees... and it has one of the very best Lib in the US, as ALL the state census records are there and soundex too ,so you can follow your family around .. and they obits on line, now that cheap, 25 cents... ----- Original Message ----- From: "libby" <goosle@adams.net> To: <ILADAMS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2003 7:42 PM Subject: [ILADAMS] Fw: [ILMacoupin] FW: New Proposed Fees for the State Archives > I am forwarding this from the Macoupin Co. web site; it's of interest to all > genealogists. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Pat Hansen <tom2pat@earthlink.net> > To: <ILMACOUP-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2003 3:28 PM > Subject: [ILMacoupin] FW: New Proposed Fees for the State Archives > > > > I am forwarding this from the Cook County list, as it is about the fees > for > > copies.
