Surnames: SIMPSON--ZINN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wg.2ADE/3976 Message Board Post: I am seeking info on William Harrison Simpson. He was born in Adams Co., in 1838. His parents are unknown to me and I would like to find them. In the 1880 Census, he said his parents were born in Scotland (Father) and Ireland (Mother). In the 1920 Census, he states they were born in Pennsylvania. In 1861 Wm. married Sarah Zinn in Hancock Co., Il. They had two sons, Wm. Andrew and Matthew Sheridan before moving to Mo. in 1864. There is a possibility that William had two brothers, John, b.1844 and Joseph. Joseph married Mary Jane Rose in 1859 in Hancock Co. William and Sarah also had two sons named John and Joseph, who were born in Missouri. There were a total of 15 or 16 children born to the couple. Two of the girls were named Mary Ann and Josephine. Sarah's mother was named Mary Ann, so I wonder if William's mother or grandmother was named Josephine. There were other girls, but their names are unknown. Hope there is someone out there who has some clues to help find this family. Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks
