May 4, 1817, in Holtrop, Ostfriesland, Germany. Jacob had a brother, Henry, who was born in 1855 and had three children. Jurgen's father was Harm Hinrich Franzen, b. 1793, who fought in the battle of Waterloo. I have more information and would like to correspond.
