I'm trying to research McKerns in Scotland/Ireland and was wondering whether you had any information that might help. The confirmed information I have is as follows: Robert McKerns (death certificate names him as Robert-Smith McKerns). His profession was a master saddler Born: approx. 1833, Ireland Married: 20th Jan 1854 Dundonald Died: 28th Jan 1912 Wife: Margaret MacKie Born: approx. 1836, Ayrshire, Scotland. My link to them is their son, James Bryson McKerns, Born: 13th July 1871, Kilmarnock. Married: 26th Feb 1891 Glasgow to Lilias-Jane Dickie. I know it's a lot to hope for, but I'm really interested in where in Ireland the family came from and what they were doing in Scotland.
