Hi Lori, You can write to the Adams County Clerk. If your ancestors death record is on file they can send you a copy. They are very quick to respond (usually within a week). http://www.co.adams.il.us/county_clerk/vitalrecords/index.htm They have vital records back to 1878. Hope this helps.
