I have never known if Emma CARR was a friend or relative....I have a postcard from her to my g-grandmother, Delia HICKERSON....... Here are some bits of info I have re HICKERSON's and CARR's, Adams Co marriages: LeRoy HICKERSON m Rebecca CARR, 1856. James C. Carr m Angeline HICKASON, 1856 John S. Carr m Martha HICKERSON, 1855 Samuel T CARR m Margaret HUNSAKER, 1855 Lewis G CARR m Rhoda INMAN, 1847 I mention the last 2 marriages, since I have a Sarah Anne HICKERSON-BOWERS who m Amos INMAN, 1870.....and, Sarah Anne's dau, Elizabeth BOWERS, m Geoge W HUNSAKER, 1881....so, there seems to be various connections... In regard to Emma, if she was near the age of my g-grandmother, then she probably m in the 1880's.... Probably, if we pinned down some of these folks on Adams Co census records, we could find more connections.....please let me know if you have any more info....I will do the same if I find more!
