Bud, James J. Hudson's parents were William T. and Nancy White Hudson who are buried in the cemetery at Coatsburg. The family was traveling by wagon from Jefferson Co. TN enroute to Shenandoah IA in 1868 when William became ill and died in Adams Co IL. The family never went any farther and a few descendents still remain in Adams/Hancock Counties. I am intrigued by your Robertson connection. My 2nd great grandmother and Mary Jane Cecil Hudson's mother was Sarah A. Robertson Cecil (20 Sep 1835-12 Jan 1912). I am researching the Robertsons and know that Sarah had a younger sister named Martha.
