How do I go about getting a birth certificate on someone who was born in 1874? I called the Adams County Clerk's office. Their records go back to 1878. Does anyone have any ideas? Lisa

Only thing I can suggest is possibly getting ahold of a church to see if there is a baptism record. Adams County doesn't have many birth records/registers before about 1876-1880.
