I have in my files Fred J. RUPP, born (per the 1910 Moberly, Randolph Co., MO census) February 1860 in Germany. I do not have names for his parents, but it sounds as though the people mentioned in the article are his family. The data I have is that Fred was first married to Johanna (I do not have her maiden surname).She was named as his wife in the 1885 Moberly, MO city directory.census. She died 26 December 1897 and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Moberly. Fred J. and Johanna had 7 children (that I know of). 1. Anna, born April 1883 in Illlinois. I have information for her after 1900. 2. Edward George, born 30 May 1885, Illinois - died 19 Februry 1932 in Moberly, MO. Married 1st,Ida Cecilia JACKSON, born 7 May 1892 in Missouri - died 14 April 1918 in Moberly. He married 2nd about 1923 Lee P. (maiden surname ?),born abt. 1891. 3. Clara, born February 1886 in Illinois. No further info. 4. Freddie C., born 13 August 1889 - died 18 June 1890. 5. William George, born 13 December, Moberly, MO - died 9 December 1952, Moberly, MO. 6. Agnes Anna, born 6 June 1892 in Missouri - died 15 March 1932 in Moberly. She married Warren Elsworth WARNER, born 5 April 1883 in Moberly - died 20 May 1928 in Jt. Joseph, MO. Fred J. married 2nd 1 July 1902 in Moberly, MO, Gertrude Wegs, born August 1868 in Illinois, the daughter of John B. Wegs and Catherine Stark. She was married 1st May 1886 in Brown Co., IL to John Bernard Meis,born 5 Jan 1862 in Quincy, IL - died 3 February 1898 in Quincy. The couple had 1 child, William, born July 1890 in Illinois. Fred and Gertrude had no children. Fred moved from Quincy to Moberly in about 1888 and operated a business, variously described as junk and produce, grocery; junk and poultry; groceries, jumk, coal and wood, (etc.) His obit states that he "was for many years in the coal, wood and salvage business." I do have more on this family, if anyone is interested, along with my sources.
