Her second marriage was to a man named Jack Adams. Her name is Sarah J. Pilgrim. Later in Sarah's marriage, after 3 kids, Jack disappeared. When Sarah went to court to get him declared leaglly dead, it was found that Jack Adams was not his real name. It was Herman Steinbach. As the story goes, Herman was in a "Blind Pig" in Chicago in c.1930 when it was raided. The real Jack Adams was killed (I believe), but Herman stole Jack's jacket with his ID, and assumed Jack's idenity until his disappearence. The REAL Jack Adams was born c.1890. If ANY of this story seems to be familar to you, I'd like to hear from you.
