I don't think he did marry there. He was still married to his original wife, who was in Massachusetts at that time. I believe I saw mentioned a record book of the Soldiers and Sailors Home, also. Do you have access to that? I am looking especially for his birth date - the dates that I have so far range from 1808 to 1819!
