Illinois Marriage Index has a Henry D. PAINTER married to Carrie STAFFORD on 9/30/1860 in Adams County. In the 1850 U.S. Census for Adams Co. there is an Eaton PAINTER, age 9, living in the household of William JORDON of Ursa Township and a Phillip PAINTER, age 13, living in the household of William LAUGHLIN of Ursa Twp. In the 1860 U.S.Census of Adams Co. there is a Smith PAINTER, age 14, student, living in the John POTTER household of Gilmer twp and a William PAINTER, age 37, omnibus driver, living in the 5th Ward of Quincy.
