Thanks for passing that on. I appreciate all your help. I will check out my Illinois map and find Mound City. I also will check out the website on Mary E. Veach then use my good judgement as to whether it is my Mary. I did go to the Illinois statewide archives and found a great deal of information as I also have roots on my mother's side in Quincy and Adams County. The Veach's were my husband's lineage.
