JOSEPH S. MILLER MARRIED CARRIE BAKERBOWER SEPT 5, 1886, IN BROWN COUNTY ILLINOIS. THEY HAD 2 SONS: 1. HARRY EARL MILLER MAY 14 , 1888. HE DIED FEB. 20, 1948. HE IS BURIED IN SOUTH SIDE CEM., IN CLAYTON. WITH A JEAN B. WHO IS HIS WIFE. 2. CHARLES PORTER MILLER FEB 2, 1893 (?) . HE DIED MARCH 25, 1959, HE IS BURIED AT CAMBRIDGE CEM., CAMBRIDGE, MA. CHARLES MARRIED SADIE E. LANGLEY, ST JAMES CHURCH, CAMBRIDGE, MA. THEY HAD THREE CHILDREN, THEY ARE STILL ALIVE. THE ONLY THINGS I HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT JOSEPH S. MILLER IS HE DID LIVE IN CAMP POINT, ILL, ACCORDING TO THE 1892 DIRECTORY. AND THIS IS THE NAME ON MY GRANDFATHER AND GREAT-UNCLE HARRY'S BIRTH CERT. THE TWO BOYS WHERE RAISED BY THERE GRAND PARENTS IN CLAYTON, ILL. THERE NAMES WHERE MICHAEL (JOHN MICHAEL) AND MARY ANN (BOLINGER) BAKERBOWER. JOSEPH MAY HAVE MARRIED CARRIES YOUNGER SISTER IN 1900, ROSA L. BAKERBOWER. I DID FIND A JOSEPH MILLER IN THE 1880 CENSUS, GODCHILD OF ELLENOR MILLER 60 YEARS OLD, IN CAMP POINT, ILL. Chatton A small hamlet in Houston Township, on th northern border of the county, is Chatton. Ok Shawnnee and the the rest of the people looking into Riverside township. I have and old book that was my parents that has pictures history of adams county. And in this book it tells about riverside township. It is north Quincy. lyes west of Ellington Township and the Missouri State Line and north of it is Ursa township. hwy 57 runs through it and hwy 96 runs on the east side. this book dates back to 1955. The published by The Loree Company out of Chicago. and it is called This is Adams County, Ill by John Drury. This is a treasure that I have. Hope this helps and if I had the name of the person if they were in Quincy area I most likely will find it in this book.
