    3. Do you have any information on a Ruth Featheringill-Inman-Turner? Ruth Featheringill married an Inman. Then she married a Charles Turner. They lived in the Quincy, Adams County, IL area. Ruth then moved to Dearborn, MO, where she died. That is all I know about this family. Thanks. kdaniel828@aol.com wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Featheringill, Ramsey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wg.2ADE/65.363.1.1 Message Board Post: Yes, I do have a link to Emaline, married to George Ramsey in Adams, Co., IL. She is the older sister to my ggg-grandmother, Eliza Jane Featheringill. Emaline was born in 1820, probably in Jefferson County, KY. (Also spelled Emiline?) There were three other younger sisters and two younger brothers. The best information I can find says that Emaline and Eliza Jane's father was Elias Featheringill, b. Dec., 1789 in Frederick County, VA, and mother was Sarah Stonestreet, b. Aug. 19, 1799, also in Jefferson County, KY (youngest of eight children). They were married August 27, 1818, in Jefferson County, KY. At one point, they owned land in Oldham, Ky. The Featheringill family can be traced back to the mid 1700s in Shenandoah Co, Va. Before that, there is no proof of where they came from. Either England, or part native, I suspect. The Stonestreet ancestors were a somewhat well to do English family, owning land in the 1600s in Prince Georges County, Md. I know very little about the Ramsey's except that there are also links to another family line of mine that also ended up in Adams County, IL. Let me know if this helps or if you would like more information. I would be glad to share. ==== ILADAMS Mailing List ==== Planning a family reunion? Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wg.2ADE/65.363.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Kristin, I'm looking for George Ramsey and maybe the other Ramsey information you mentioned. I know my Ramsey family moved to Adams Co., IL around 1836 with the Inman Family. They were from East Tennessee from Cocke Co. If George is the same George I'm looking for, his father would have been most likely Andrew Ramsey (b. VA). I'm also looking for: brother Samuel Ramsey sisters Lattitia, Harriet, Mary & Sarah Ramsey George had other brothers John Vardeman, James Spencer, & William and sisters Jane, Darcus & Rhoda. Jane married Jonathan Inman. Rhoda married George William Inman. Another sister Darcus Ramsey may be listed in any family household. John Vardeman Ramsey may have married a Frances Inman (could be a widow of an Inman, Fanny (Frances) & John moved back to TN around 1850 with James J. Inman age 17 moving with them) and had children Thomas Andrew, Ann and John Lafayette. Looking for these Ramsey family members as well. Looking for Vard(e,a,i)man, Inman, Ferguson, Sprouse, Hardy, family connections. John Vareman Ramsey moved again before 1860 to Henry Co., MO and may ghave gone through Adams Co and about that time. Any help with my Ramsey search would be a great Chrismas present for my Mom. John
