Sanders. He was born in ILL and married a Mary Dement. They moved from ILL to Oregon and then to Calif. His middle name could be Leroy. This is all the information I have.     3. While browsing with the use of the State Search Engine, I found quite a few Ramsey families in Kendall County. I believe there were several in surrounding counties also. Maybe some of these are related to your Ramsey family. Shari

He was still married to his original wife, who was in Massachusetts at that time. I believe I saw mentioned a record book of the Soldiers and Sailors Home, also. Do you have access to that? I am looking especially for his birth date - the dates that I have so far range from 1808 to 1819!

His name does not appear in the Adams County or Illinois State Marriage Index records. Adams County is situated in the western most portion of Illinois along the Mississsippi River, he might have married across the river in Missouri. Check their records.
