Hello, I descend from a Henry Richards/Richard b. abt. 1782, d. aft. 1850 in Coshocton county, Ohio, that came from Frederick county Virginia, he married Elizabeth Copeland May 31, 1802 in Frederick county, Virginia. His parents are Carey Michael Richard or Richards and Elizabeth Snapp. I know this is not information on your Richards line and I wouldn't know where to begin on your line, since this surname is like "Jones" and "Smith", I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone when the Richards family migrated from Virginia to Ohio. jamie
Karen, I looked in my cemetery book for the Camp Point area & did not find Issac Adams or Mary Francis Adams McCormick listed. Sorry, Good Luck in your research. Bobbie

Surnames: Martin, Burke, Burk Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wg.2ADE/672.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi, In one of your earlier messages dated 17 Feb 2000, you posted a query for the MARTIN surname in Iowa. I'm searching for my Irish Martin line in Iowa circa 1830's-1850's. I know my great grandmother was in Dubuque and Jackson counties in 1850. Her name is Catharine Burke/Burk (nee Martin). I'm looking for her siblings and parents. To date I only show one brother, Francis (Frank) Martin. Frank and Catharine were born circa 1824 & 1826, respectively, possibly County Antrim, Ireland. They are both buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Johnson county, Kansas. Do you have any new information to share? Carol No. California [email protected]
Is there a list member who may have cemetery listings for Camp Point and who could kindly check them for me? I am looking for Isaac Adams, born about 1825, KY or TN, who died between 1862 and 1867. Also looking for his wife, Mary Frances ___ (Adams), who married James McCormick in 1867, after Isaac's death. (The Isaac Monroe Adams, 1861-1934) buried in Evergreen Cemetery is Isaac's son.) Karen

Thank you, Linda. Bobbie already looked for various spellings of Whittekiend, Wittekind, Whitaken, Whitican, etc. in the Burton, and Camp Point cemetery books and found nothing for Tobias and Martha Elizabeth Wittekind. Maybe you could find two of their children's graves. Their son, Thomas Wittekind, died between Jun 02, 1900 - Apr 28, 1910 in Burton. Also, their daughter, Catherine E. Wittekind married twice. I don't know if she's buried under her first married name of Garbrecht\Gabbraith\Garbath\Garbatt\Garbrech or her second married name of Miller, 2nd wife of Herman Miller. Could you also lookup George and Ruth Kuhns, Koons, Koontz, Coons, etc. Thank you for your help, Carolyn
No, no one has looked up WRIGHT's yet. Thanks. Janet

Judi, Thank you. I have already searched through the Burton Cemetery photos and have concluded that my ggg-grandparent's tombstones may be part of the group that is unidentifiable. ~~Carolyn
