So that would be eight years before she was born.

The only info I have on William and Elizabeth Cohring is from the 1900 census, this also has Charles Cohring born 1872, his wife Margaret and daughter Hazel. I guess both Charles and Nancy are the children of William and Elizabeth, they had 6 children. William's year of immigration to the US is 1854, this is the year of birth of my Henry Cohring. I do not know anything of Henry's origins of if William and Henry are related. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I do have a copy of the 1900 census sheet 5 if you would like more info from it. Any suggestion of how to research the Cohring name?
