    1. [IL-SOUTHERN] Arnhart/Earnhart Families Union Co IL
    2. Tim Casey
    3. Well I have been busy working on my Arnhart Family. I thought I would share what I have discovered so far. Phillip Earnhart was in Union Co IL 1840 census says he was 51 this would mean he was born abt. 1879.? who is his Father and Mother. He was born in NC. He is the 1st Earnhart male known in Union Co IL. Phillip shows up again in 1850 at age 51. David Earnhart was in the 1850 census age 40 b. NC birth abt 1810. John Earnhart 1860 age 42 b. NC birth abt 1808 (my ggg grndfather) m. Easter Halterman Tobias Earnhart 1860 age 30 b. NC birth about1830. Alexander Earnhart 1860 age 34 b. NC birth about 1826 note: Tobias and Alexander probably brothers both households 1720 and 1727 in Census Union Co IL. Nathaniel Earnhart was b. in NC and was in the 1880 census. I do know that Anne Marie Eherenhardt m. George Hartline Jr. she being a aunt of John Earnhart m. Easter Halterman. She may be the first Earnhart in Union Co IL . The family history says that John Ehrenhardt my ggggg grndfather came to IL died at Golconda buried there. His wife Catherine instead of coming to Union Co IL went back to Rowan Co NC with her children. John Ehrenhardt m. Catherine Furr would be brother to Anne Marie Ehrenhardt. Any cousins out there that can help with this please email timc@midwest.net I think it is time for the Arnhart/Earnhart line be found and documented. also do not take anything here as the gospel it is what I have so far found there may be mistakes. If there is please let me know and the mail list.

    3. I think most states put out their own books on Continental soldiers and officers. I have found them for New Jersey, North Carolina and VA. If you are near St Louis, the last time I was at the downtown library I found a very big thick book right by the librarians desk in the History and Genealogy room that was very comprehensive for soldiers of the Rev, but I do not remember its name. I may have it in my files somewhere. The DAR lineage books also have a lot. I don't think any one list is totally comprehensive. You have to look in several sources. Betty

    1. [IL-SOUTHERN] Walton Barrett
    2. Michelle Robinson
    3. I have a picture of my grandfather and a little boy with a little girl on his shoulders. The picture says on the back that the boy is Walton Barrett. There was no name for the little girl. This picture was probably taken in the mid to late 1940's, and the boy looked about 10, so he may still be alive. I have been trying to find information on my grandfather, and this could be a clue to help me. Does anyone know this person or his family? The area would probably have been in either Litchfield, East St. Louis, or Pinckneyville. If you have any leads, I could definately use the help! Thanks!
