    1. [IL-SOUTHERN] Obituary Lookup
    2. Dawn - Tinley Park, IL
    3. Hello again list. I am wondering if someone would be kind enough to lookup an obituary for me. The woman is Marie Givens b. 1/22/1909 d. 2/27/1992. Her last residence was Du Quoin, IL county of Perry. I'm trying to obtain her maiden name (hoping it is Harris) and any children she may have had. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

    1. [IL-SOUTHERN] City directory
    2. Dawn - Tinley Park, IL
    3. Hello List. I am wondering if anyone has access to a city directory. I'm looking for my grandmother in Cook Co. Chicago in the early 1920's. Her name was Helen A. Harris then married in 1920 and became Helen A. Stringer. If anyone has access to this information and could look it up, I would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, can someone inform me as to how I can get a city directory? I am not familiar with using them. As always, thanks for your help..

    2. Dawn, The Post Dispatch is in St. Louis and on the West side of the river. The paper most likely to serve your area in most cases, St. Clair,on the East side of the river, as Mr. Musgrave pointed out, is the Belleville paper, News Democrat, I guess. My, this has run on. today. But it's been fun. Happy July 4 to you all! Ernie Heltsley
