Good morning, There are now 64 families listed on the Surnames page along with an email link to the researcher. Also, there are several additions to the obituaries and several more that will be added during this week. Brick Walls have been built. With the start of school, being both a teacher and a student this year, additions to the site may be less for the next week or so but there WILL be something new added each day. There may be a few new additions to the marriages also. The search engine will be updated immediately, but don't depend on it because it seems to not pick up some of the deaths and obits. Good huntin' Ann
Tonia- Cottage Home is in Southern Illinois about where the Crab Orchard Lake is now. My ancestors founded it - the Thaxton and Mann and Sanders lines. It was the home to Mann School too. Good morning, There are now three extensive pages of Williamson County, IL cemeteries, their locations, any special information, and a source for almost all of the cemeteries' inventories. Links have been added to the "Links" page and additional court records, a marriage or two, deaths including all A's, O's and Z's, and the E's are in progress. I have been told that there are over 21,000 deaths for Williamson County. Be sure and check out the Brick Walls to see if your information could help someone out. There will be a lot of changes and additions this week so check back often. Happy Huntin', Ann <http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwillia>
Good morning: New information about Williamson County deaths, obits, court cases and surnames have been added to the Williamson County site in the last couple of days. Please be patient about the deaths. The list is extremely long and, because it has to be in "computerese", it takes a huge amount of cutting and pasting, etc. The reason behind this undertaking is to provide the researcher with a list of deaths from Williamson County. What for, you ask? It is already in the state archives. Yes, but to use the state archives, you must type in all the possible spellings for your family name. On the Williamson County site, you can select a letter and see all the variations as you scroll down the list. If the name is on the Williamson County List, then there is a death certificate number in the state archives. A special thank you to those who have requested and submitted information. There will also be a revised list of Williamson County Cemeteries by next weekend. It was pointed out that some of cemeteries on the present list are not in Williamson County. Any information regarding a church or school, it's location and/or history is needed. Good hunting! Ann <http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwillia>

Good morning, The Williamson County website has been updated (search engine) to reflect some of the changes and additions to the website. More has been entered to the "Deaths" (see A's and O's) as well as the "Court Cases" and "Surnames". <http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwillia> Murphy researchers should look at Norman Cemetery where pictures have been added to the site. Happy Hunting! Ann

Thank you so much for your permission. By the way, I listed myself as cc for WebGen and I meant to put GenExchange. WebGen has an excellent site for Williamson County and I sure don't want to take credit away from those who honestly deserve it. As Karima said, GenExchange <http://www.genexchange.com/county.cfm?State=il&County=williamson> is undergoing a rebirth and I have the privilege of being the CC for Williamson County. The boards will soon be open for placing your family names in the births, deaths, cemeteries, and a lot of other areas. The AHGP site for Williamson County <http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilwillia> will continue to expand with additional information. The search engine for the site is renewed each week or more. Williamson County Court cases (1876-1894) are being added each day as is information in other areas. Thanks again for the link...
