He was born June 2, 1929 in Rockport to Walter Elea and Rebecca Pearl (Myers) Foster. He married Emma G. Bowen Nov. 17, 195 in Hannibal, Mo. and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Kenneth, (wife Doris) Foster of Rockport; four daughters, Deborah (husband Jim) Epley, Becky (husband Kevin) Keithly and Sharon (husband Jim) Beardsley, all of Hull and Evelyn (husband Bull) Coates of Jacksonville; four grandsons, Jeremy and Justin Epley and Conner Beardsley, all of Hull and Thomas Coates of Jacksonville; three granddaughters, Michelle Foster of Rockport; Alaina Beardsley of Hull and Emily Coates of Jacksonville; two brothers, Arthur Foster of Vandalia and Richard Foster of Dunnelion, Fla.; and three sisters, Marie Higgins of Barry; JoAnn Walker of New Canton and Sherry Myers of Bowling Green, Mo. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Paul; a half brother, Bill; and one sister, Jean. He was retired from Dyno-Nobel of Louisiana, Mo. where he worked as a Mill Right. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a Cardinal baseball enthusiast who enjoyed both the game as well as collecting cards. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry. Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at the funeral home. Burial was in the Shearer Cemetery in New Canton with military rites by Barry American Legion Post 222.
