Frederick Article Text: Dr. E. Frederick Berry, 88, of Pittsfield passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at the Porter Hospice at Johnson Center, Centennial, Colo. He was the son of Evart and Hannah Niebur Berry born on July 23, 1919, in Pittsfield. Fred graduated from the University of Illinois dental school and he practiced dentistry in Pittsfield for many years. He served his country during WWII in the Navy. He married Winnifred "Winn" King on June 17, 1943 in Evanston, IL and she preceded on October 6, 1989. At the time of his death he was a retired dentist and a member of the United Methodist Church, Pike County Shrine Club, Ansar Temple, Pittsfield Lodge #790 A.F. & A.M. and the Pittsfield Lions Club. He served on the board of directors at the Farmer's State Bank. He is survived by two daughters, Ann Kristin (Roland) Miller, Denver, Colo. and Cynthia Dawn Wallace of Cincinnati, Ohio, four grandchildren, Peter McAlpine Miller, Tyler Frederick Miller, Katherine Dawn Miller and Nicholas Alexander Wallace, and two great-grandchildren, Haley Trisler and Oliver Miller. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Wynnifred King Berry and an infant child Linda Jane Berry. Funeral services will be held at Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield. with Rev. Linda Peyla officiating. Burial will be in the West Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Pittsfield American Legion Post #152. Visitation will be held at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield Saturday, Feb. 16th 4-6 p.m. The memorials are to the Pittsfield United Methodist Church or the West Cemetery. The family of Dr. Frederick Berry is being served by the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, IL.
