She was the daughter of Will and Pearl Goldman Bonnett born July 9,1916 in Pittsfield. She married Glenn Ballinger June 15, 1938 and he preceded December 1982. She had a special friend David Bonds and he also preceded her. Louise was a registered L.P.N. and she worked at the Illini Community Hospital in the ER and Surgery Department. She retired from Illini Community Hospital n 1985. She was a member of the Pittsfield United Methodist Church. She attended Pleasant Grove County School, and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1936. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking. Survivors include a daughter, Mary (Ralph) Matthews, Elsberry, Mo.; a son, Stanley Ballinger, Pearl; two brothers, Raymond Bonnett, Decatur and Kenneth (Marilyn) Bonnett, Pittsfield; granddaughters, Celeste Brouaard, New Orleans, La.; Angela (Chris) Staley, Chicago, a daughter, Clohe; Alicia Ballinger, daughter, Alexis (fiance Matt Brick), Pekin; Lisa (James) Watt, Manchester, N.H.; children, Jamel, Scott, Jennifer; two grandsons, Matt (Tern) Lewis, Pekin; children, Emmalee and Alivia; Jim Lewis, Pekin; children, Logan, Mason, Zachery and James. Preceded by her husband Glenn Ballinger, special friend, David Bonds; a brother, Julius "Buck" Bonnett; and three sisters, Elizabeth, Mary and Marjorie. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2:30 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, with Rev. Linda Peyla officiating, Burial was in the West Cemetery, Pittsfield. Lunch was served following the services at the United Methodist Church Orr Hall. Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 22 6 until 8 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield. Memorials are to the Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. The Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, is handing the services for the family.
