She was born Jan. 20, 1921 in Noble the daughter of James and Elva Wilkerson Fulk. She married Ronald Wade Lockard Feb. 14, 1939 and he preceded her in death April 12, 2005. She is survived by one son, Edgar (wife, Rachel) Lockard of Loveland, CO; two daughters, Jane (husband, Harley) Kesselring of rural Ashland and Mary (husband, Ora) Ruble of Pittsfield; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Lockard was the bookkeeper for the family business, Lockard Implement Co. in Ashland for many years. She believed in and followed the teachings of Jesus. She loved flowers and was a wonderful cook. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 5-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Eastside Health & Rehab Center.
