He was born Aug. 18, 1933 to Oscar and Marie Baughman Robertson in New Canton. He married Juanita Clinging in 1952 and she preceded him June 11, 2001. His second marriage was to Kathy Figg and she preceded him April 30, 1998. Mr. Robertson worked for Parish Truck Lines in Freeburg, as a long haul truck driver for 40 years. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 50 in Belleville. Earl enjoyed going to the Cree-Mee and visiting with the girls (and Whitey) and having breakfast every morning. He also enjoyed going to the boat in La Grange, Mo. He is survived by three sons, David (Mae) Robertson of Claramon, Dennis (Erika) Robertson of Freeburg and Danny (Patty) Robertson of Lenzburg; and a daughter Diane (Kevin) Lynch of Barry; two step-sons; Tom (Phyllis) and David (Janice) Figg; two step-daughters; Valerie (Butch) Pashea of Evansville and Vanessa Judge of North Carolina; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, one brother, Nate Robertson; and two sisters, Clydene Kelly and Doris Lain. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday May 31 at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry with Dr. Greg Maize officiating. Visitation was held from 12 - 1 p.m. prior to the services with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery following the services. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
