Article Text: Evansville, Ind., March 20. News was received in this city to-day of the mysterious disappearance of Mrs. George LEDBETTER, wife of a miller of Elizabethtown, Ill. Mrs. LEDBETTER has been in ill health for some time past and in consequence was subject to slight attacks of melancholy. Friday night she and her husband retired at an early hour. About 1 a.m. yesterday Mr. LEDBETTER awoke and found his wife missing. He aroused his children and several neighbors and began a search which has continued ever since without success. The missing woman was traced to a bluff in the upper end of the city, and it is feared that she committed suicide.
