Crook Smith Article Text: Charlotte M. Crook (Smith) Reid, 72, of Albuquerque, N. M. and formerly of Atlas, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. She was born Nov. 23, 1935 in Griggsville to the late Joseph W. and Vada E. Fowler Crook. She married William Rex Smith in 1951 and later married Ken Reid who survives in Albuquerque. Also surviving is a daughter, Annette M. Ormond and husband Mike of Cartersville, Ga.; five sons, William B. and wife Judi of White, Ga., Monty R. Smith of Calhoun, Ga., Daniel L. Smith and wife Lisa of Quincy, Timothy A. Smith and wife Barbara of Rome, Ga., and Tony Smith and wife Tara of Baylis; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Murphy of Bluffs; two brothers, Charles Crook and wife Ann of Rushville, and Lawrence A. (Bud) Crook of Quincy, Il.; and numerous nieces and nephews; cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dora Mae Crook Peas; and two brothers, Harry Crook and Jesse L. Crook. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and watching birds. Private services were held in Georgia.
