Dick was born Jan. 19, 1947, in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Kenneth and Bernice Wright Kinman. He went to school in Carthage, graduating from Carthage High School in 1965. He then went on to receive his bachelor of science at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo., and his master's degree at Western Illinois University. Dick was a successful coach and teacher in the Hamilton School District for 33 years. The family would like to thank Dick's special caretakers, Judith Kinman and Lois Lefler. Dick is survived by four children, Dorian "Dee" Kinman and his wife, Janet, of Springville, Ind., Travis "T.J." Suprenant and his wife, Holly, of Washington, Ill., Cortney Kinman and his wife, Megan, of Bellingham, Wash., and Marnie Shaddox and her husband, Chad Robbins, of Fort Madison, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jessica and Cal Kinman, Trey and K! yley Suprenant, and Harper Robbins; a brother, George Kinman and his wife, Joyce, of St. Louis; and two sisters, Judith Kinman of Peoria and Becky Brooks of Palatine. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Denise in 2007; and his parents. SERVICES: There will be no public service. VISITATION: Friends are invited to Dick's home at 340 S. 10th St. in Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon to visit with the family.
