[By Staff Correspondent] Pittsfield, Ill., Sept. 21 The marriage of Miss Vida Conroy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Conroy, west of town, and Arthur Stone, the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Stone, who reside south of town, will take place on Sunday afternoon, October 2, at the home of the bride's parents. The young people are graduates of the Pittsfield High school and are prominent and popular in the community. They will reside on a farm near Martinsburg. Banns for the marriage of Miss Mary Brown of this city and Frank A. Ducey of Beardstown were announced for the first time at St. Mary's Catholic church in this city on last Sunday. The marriage will take place on October 3 at the church, Rev. Father Foley officiating. The engagement of Miss Leta Harris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Harris, of this city, and Oren E. Nicholson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles V. Nicholson, also of this city, has been announced. The wedding will take place next month. The young people are among the best known and popular of this city. Indoor Picnic Tomorrow - The members of the Sunday school and the congregation of the Congregational church will hold an indoor picnic on Friday afternoon at the church. Guests From Pontiac - Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Greenbaum and little daughter of Pontiac are here for a visit with Isaac Strauss and family. They are making the trip in their automobile. Hirsheimers Buy Harder Store - Louis D. and Samuel Hirsheimer have purchased from Frank Harder the store building on the west side of the square which was formerly occupied by the Harder drug store, and which is now occupied by the Bert Niccum cafe. The consideration was $7,000. Club Opens Season - Mrs. Mary Kientzle entertained the members of the Cumana g' Carto club on Wednesday evening. This was the first meeting of the club for the season.
