She was born Feb. 14, 1930 in Adams County to Harry E. and Dollie E. (Wagy) Deitert. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Louisiana. Survivors include David Sterne, husband, Louisiana; a daughter, Susan Whitaker and husband Mike, Bowling Green, Mo.; a son Rick Williams and wife Jackie, Rockport; a son, Charles David Sterne and wife Glenda, Arlington, Texas; a daughter, Cara Wendel and husband Kevin, Oak Grove, Mo.; a son, Harold Stern and wife Jackie, Moreno Valley, Calif.; a son, Darryl Sterne and wife Linda, Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Mary Dolbeare, Barry; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law and close friend, Pat Sterne, Louisiana; three brother-in-laws and two sisters-in-laws. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Malone and sister Thelma Bainter. Visitation was held Tuesday June 17, at Sterne Funeral Home, Louisiana. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 18, at the First Christian Church, Louisiana, with burial at the Riverview Cemetery, Louisiana, with Rev. Gail Aurand and Rev. Al boatman officiating. Pallbearers were John Wood, James Coleman, Dustin Brown, Brandon Brown, Harold Sterne II, Gene Sterne and Evan Hamilton. Memorials are to the Pike County Home Health and Hospice or First Christian Church, Louisiana, MO.
