He was born June 23, 1918 in Richfield, IL to Raymond “Brad” and Georgia Ann Hull Lightle. John worked for many years at the FS Grain Elevator in Plainville, IL and attended the Plainville Baptist Church. He always enjoyed going to the Plainville gas station where he loved visiting with his friends. Mr. Lightle is survived by 2 sisters; Mrs. Mabel Thomas of Kinderhook and Mrs. Marjorie “Peggy” Thomas of Barry. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bud Lightle. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the Stewart Cemetery at Plainville with Bert Sapp officiating. Visitation will be held at Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry from 1:30 – 2:30 PM, Thursday. Memorials may be left to the Methodist Sunset Home in Quincy or the Stewart Cemetery. Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry is in charge of arrangements.
