She was born Oct. 9, 1916 in Pike County to Pearl and Priscilla Dolbeare Putnam near El Dara. She married John Reel Dec. 11, 1935 and had two children, Priscilla who died at birth and John Reel who survives. July 6, 1974 she married Wendell Royalty who died Dec. 6, 1997 at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy. Isabell had a long and full life. She was interested in many things and published a family history book called, "A Genealogical History of William Putnam 1809-1853 and Descendants." She is survived by her son: John Ronald (Shirley) Reel, Kenton, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Michael Reel and Mark Reel and their families; Gary (Becky) Royalty of Washington, Randy (Darlene) Royalty of Ursa and Wayne Royalty of California. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, her cousin, Phyllis Grawe, of El Dara, and several extended family members.. Preceded by a daughter, Priscilla Sue Reel, her parents and sisters Pauline Allen and Jean Matton. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at the Parklawn Cemetery, Barry.
