She was born May 20, 1925 in Baylis to the late Fred William and Blanche Cooley Martin. She married H.B. "Bill" Reese March 27, 1940 in Bowling Green, Mo. She then married Alfred Clough July 7, 1951 and he preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1981. She later married Roger Reese April 20, 1991 in Griggsville, and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Berry and husband Al of Chambersburg and Judy Bradshaw and husband Harvey of Griggsville; a son, John Clough and wife Susan of Griggsville; four step-daughters, Susan Eckmann and husband Victor of Lebonon, Mo., Louise Dutko of Granite City, Mary Clary and husband Robert of New London, Mo., Tina McNally and husband John of Heath, Texas; two step-sons, Bruce Reese and wife Brenda of Granite City, James Reese and wife Gladys of Versailles, six grandchildren, Gary Webel of Palatine, Diane Webel of Island Lake, Brian Bradshaw and wife Marni of New Salem, and Chontel Whitaker and husband Randy, Jennifer Snyder and husband Steve, and Michelle Leenerts and husband Chad all of Griggsville; 19 step-grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Floyd "Stub" Smith of Perry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a grandson, Robert Clough; three sisters, Stella Ervin, Ayleen Miller, and Sylvia Smith; six brothers, Virgil Martin, Ray Martin, Olen Martin, Wayne Martin, Glen Martin, and Wilmot Martin. Evelyn was a member of the Griggsville United Methodist Church, and the Dorcus Circle and Needlecraft groups in the church. She worked at the Brown Shoe Factory for 12 years, G. & R. Pharmacy for 12 years, the Clothing Center in Pittsfield, as well as Trio Manufacturing Company in Griggsville. She also sold Raleigh Products. She was a baker of many sugar cookies and gave them to everyone she could think of. She and Roger went on several trips to Branson, Mo. with Senior Saints group from the Chambersburg Christian Church. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Griggsville United Methodist Church in Griggsville, with her nephew, Pastor Bradley Miller officiating. Burial will be in Griggsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville.
