Article Text: Charles F. Boester, 51 of Winchester, died Tuesday April 15, 2008, at his home. He was born Aug. 22, 1956 in Jacksonville to Carl and Stella Smith Boester. Mr. Boester was a 1974 graduate of Winchester High School. He was a farmer in Scott County all his life. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Winchester and he loved to fish and hunt coons. He is survived by his brother Kenneth (wife Carolyn) Boester of Winchester; his companion, Julie Brackett of Winchester; two aunts, Opal Smith of Winchester and Elsie Smith of St. Louis; two nephews, one niece and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery northwest of Winchester. Visitation was held after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family met with friends from 6 until 8 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Winchester EMS, 1st Christian Church, or to the American Diabetes Association.
